MLA Format

When I ask you to write in MLA format, here's what I mean:

• Heading: Here's what's included and in what order:
  
• Your Name
• Teacher's Name
• Class Name
• Date (Date Month Year)
  
  
• Font: Black, Times New Roman, 12 Point, and Double Spaced
  
  
• Citations: (Author's Last Name Page #), for example, (Carver 219)
  
• Note: If you include the author's name in the sentence with your evidence, you don't need to add their last name to the citation. 
  
  
• Works Cited: On a separate page, with "Works Cited" as the title, add citations: 
• Book: Last Name, First Name. Title of Book. Publisher, Publication Date.
• Short Story/Poetry: Author’s Last, First Name. “Short Story/Poem Title.” Title of Collection, Publisher, Year, pp. xx-xx.
• Note: You might need to look some of this stuff up. If you are unable to find the information, you can just omit it.
